A common question I get is about who approves what is or is not communicated at our church. People want to know if our management team makes those decisions and who decides at what level how much gets promoted. On a daily basis, our communications department facilitates that decision-making. Although ultimate authority rests with the Senior Management Team, we have systems and guidelines in place to prevent all decisions from rising to the top. Our SMT should only be involved when there's a major conflict or exception. In our case, this happens about 1x per quarter.
